Complete list of UEFA Super Cup winners
Probably the biggest match in European club competitions, the UEFA Super Cup 2024 is just hours away. Happening for the 49th time, this trophy was first held in 1973. Manchester City are the current holders of the coveted cup, while Spanish giants FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and Italian stalwarts AC Milan are the most successful teams, having bagged the trophy five times each.
The trophy has been majorly dominated by the Spanish teams, who have clinched it 16 times while appearing in 31 instances. English & Italian clubs have also fared well, with EPL clubs winning 10 & Serie A ones bagging nine. Clubs like Liverpool & Atletico Madrid have also impressed many, with four and three trophies respectively.
This edition will be played between Spanish giants and record Champions League winners Real Madrid CF and UEFA Europa League champions Atalanta BC. The match will be played on August 14, 2024.
