Chelsea sign Atalanta United left-back Caleb Wiley, but there’s a catch
According to ‘New York Times’, Premier League club Chelsea has signed MLS side Atalanta United’s left-back Caleb Wiley. The transfer fee involved in the proceedings is reported to be about £8-9 million.
Caleb Wiley’s primary position is of a left-back, but he can play as a left-midfield and a left-winger also. Wiley will not be joining the Blues’ first-team squad straight away.
The 19-year-old will be sent on loan to Strasbourg for the eternity of the 2024-25 season. Strasbourg is termed to be a BlueCo Sister club.
The USA-born player has played 21 games for Atalanta United this season in the MLS and has one goal and one assist to his name also in these outings.
