Chelsea drop interest in Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion

Chelsea have reportedly dropped interest in Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion, after Atletico Madrid turned down another of their transfer bid, according to reports in Spain.

Marca claim that Chelsea’s latest bid was €33 million (£27.8m) plus €7 million (£5.9m) in add-ons. However, that was again turned down by Atletico, with the La Liga club unwilling to sell.

The report then added that Chelsea have now withdrawn their offer and are instead focusing their attention on a move for Jonathan David from Lille and Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund.
