Chelsea are eager to offload Romelu Lukaku via exit clause:
In a bid to reduce their wage list and revamp the squad to adhere to the PSR guidelines of the English Premier League, Chelsea are eager to offload Romelu Lukaku. While the striker’s stint at Chelsea has been unsuccessful, Chelsea decided to retain the player last summer due to the lack of offers and sent him out on loan to AS Roma. With the Blues now desperately looking to sell the big Belgian, several clubs including Roma are interested in procuring the services of the striker.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea negotiated an exit clause worth £38m with Lukaku’s agents last summer. As Chelsea are eager to offload Romelu Lukakau, the low price-tag set by the exit clause will now be available to all clubs to negotiate the Belgian’s exit from the club.
