Casemiro Injury Update: Intense training sessions under Erik ten Hag suspected to be the reason for the Brazilian’s woes
Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff’s intense demands in Manchester United training sessions have reportedly led to Casemiro’s latest injury. The Brazilian was ruled out of the Liverpool clash in the FA Cup and is also set to miss Brazil’s upcoming international matches.
As per a report by Manchester Evening News’s Samuel Luckhurst, dressing room sources have shifted the blame on Casemiro’s injury to the training sessions. The Red Devils manager admitted that the midfielder’s absence was a big issue for them on Sunday.
He said via BBC:
“It does [affect us] because Casemiro is very experienced and a very important player for us in organisation, also on the ball, he brings composure to the team and he can bring great passes to bring our frontline into great positions, especially with the three with their immense speed.”
Erik ten Hag did not report Casemiro’s injury in his press conference ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Liverpool. He had played 90 minutes in all of the Red Devils’ last three matches.

Manchester United star Casemiro’s injury came to light via Brazil FA
Manchester United fans were left unaware of Casemiro’s injury until Brazil manager Dorival Junior revealed it on Saturday. He stated his reason for leaving out the former Real Madrid star and said via Daily Mail:
“We have just received a report from Dr. Rodrigo Lasmar. From a pre-list made by the Brazilian National Team’s technical committee with 50 names, 13 of them were already away due to injury at their clubs. Unfortunately, we also lost Casemiro. Therefore, Pepe, from Porto, a native striker who now plays as a midfielder, is called up.”
Brazil faces England and Spain in international friendlies on March 23rd and 26th, respectively.
