Carolina Calvagni Opens Up About Traumatic Experience in France
In a recent interview with the Argentine media outlet, Carolina Calvagni, wife of Lyon footballer Nicolas Tagliafico, spoke out about the distressing experiences she has faced since relocating to France. She described the period as one of the most traumatic times in her life, further detailing incidents that have left her feeling unsafe and isolated.
Speaking about the same, Calvagni shared her deep sense of insecurity, revealing that thieves have repeatedly targeted their home. “The first time, Nico scared the burglars away. The second time, I was alone because he had a match. It’s one of the most traumatic experiences I’ve lived through. Especially since I was alone in France with no one to call or turn to while Nico was playing,”
Overcome with emotion, she explained her decision to leave France, saying, “France has become a torture for me. That’s why I’ve been seen a lot in the Netherlands, where we still have a house. I know many people didn’t understand why I live far from him (Nicolas Tagliafico). Well, this is the reason.”
These statements have drawn attention to the personal challenges faced by families of high-profile athletes, who sometimes contend with safety concerns and the pressures of living abroad.
