Bukayo Saka injury concern ahead of crucial Liverpool encounter
Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka limped out of England’s UEFA Nations League game against Greece at Wembley on Thursday around the 51st minute mark, He might have injured his hamstring joining the the other list of injured players for the gunners. Saka has been in a stunning form at the start of the 2024-25 campaign scoring two goals and making seven assists in seven premier league appearances.
He was replaced by Chelsea’s Noni Madueke moments after Greece had taken a 1-0 lead through Vangelis Pavlidis. Speaking after the match, England’s interim manager, Lee Carsely was a bit shy about Saka’s injury stating that the medical team is examining him to find out the severity of the injury.
“He’s being assessed,” Carsley said. “Obviously in the build-up to the first goal you can see he felt something in his leg.”
The English team were without the services of Harry Kane and Jack Grealish for the defeat but both are expected to be fit before Sunday’s trip to Finland.
Arsenal’s Woes
Mikel Arteta’s side are already without the services of their Captain Martin Odegaard, who sustained an injury during the last international break against Norway in September. The English manager will pray that the injury is not a big one as Saka’s has been an influential figure and will be very much important in the coming stretch of games.
Arsenal face a tough tie away at Bournemouth when the premier league returns and then play Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. After these fixtures will come the toughest of them all Liverpool, who has had a fantastic start to their life despite the departure of Jurgen Klopp.
