WATCH: Bukayo Saka scores brilliant goal against Tottenham to keep title hopes alive
It’s a now-or-never moment for Arsenal in the Premier League title race this season. Visiting Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, The Gunners lead with two goals inside 30 minutes. The first one was from an own goal scored by Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Bukayo Saka extended the lead in the 27th minute.
Kai Havertz launched an accurate long pass to Saka who received it in a perfect first-touch. The England forward then deceived Ben Davies before placing it into the bottom-right corner of Guglielmo Vicario’s net.
Bukayo Saka scores again
It was Saka’s 15th goal in the Premier League this season. If Arsenal win, they would be four points clear from Manchester City who have two games in hand. Liverpool’s scrappy performance lately leaves Arsenal and City as the two stronger contenders for the title.
For Saka personally, this season has been the best Premier League career he has so far. The London-born surpassed his own league record when scoring 14 goals last season.
The Premier League is the only hope for Arsenal to end their drought for a major trophy since winning the FA Cup in 2020. For the league itself, it has been 20 years since they won it with an unbeaten record back in 2004.
