BREAKING: Issa Kaboré agrees a loan move to Benfica

Manchester City have agreed to let defender Issa Kaboré join Portuguese giants Benfica on a season-long loan. The 23-year-old Burkina Faso international spent the last season on loan with Luton Town who succumbed to relegation from the Premier League.

He held interest from several English clubs but he will make his move to Benfica where he will be playing Champions League football this season. Other European clubs like Augsburg, Venezia, Stade Reins and Werder Bremen have also enquired about the defender’s availability.

Kabore has entered the final year of his contract with Man City but Benfica does have a buy option clause for the fullback.
