BREAKING: Former Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto joins Como

Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto is set to reunite with his former teammate Cesc Fabregas at Como on a free transfer. The Barcelona legend decided to not extend his contract with the Catalan giants following the expiry of his deal in June.

Ajax and Fiorentina were also interested in the 32-year-old midfielder but his ex-Barcelona teammate who currently manages Como played a key role in pursuing the midfielder to join the newly promoted Serie A side.

Roberto spent 18 years with the Blaugrana and went on to make 373 appearances for the first team.
