BREAKING: Erik ten Hag receives backing from Man United chiefs

Despite a disastrous 2023/24 campaign with Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag kept his job over the summer and has signed quite heavily in the summer transfer window. But the pressure is now back on the Dutchman after a poor start to the new campaign and a thumping 3-0 defeat to Liverpool in their last game.

Man United chiefs Omar Berrada and Dan Ashworth have thrown support behind the Dutchman despite United’s sluggish start to the campaign. Ten Hag’s future has come under question once again after fans were seen booing the Dutch following the defeat to Liverpool.

Berrada said: “In terms of the contract, that was a decision that was taken prior to both of our arrivals. But we’re very happy with that decision. Erik has our full backing and we have worked very closely together, as Dan said before, in this [summer] transfer window. We’re going to continue working very closely with him to help him get the best results.”
