BREAKING: Borussia Dortmund has agreed to sign Yan Couto

German giants Borussia Dortmund are set to complete the signing of Yan Couto from Manchester City and the defender is expected to undergo medicals this week. Both clubs have an agreement in place to sign the Brazilian right-back.

The 22-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Girona last season and helped them secure a Champions League berth by finishing third in the La Liga standings. Couto featured in 34 league games and had 11 goal contributions.

Borussia Dortmund were keen to bolster their defensive options and will pay €25 million plus add-ons to Manchester City for Couto’s services.
