Breaking: Aaron Ramsdale exits Arsenal for Southampton on a permanent deal
As reported by ‘Premier League‘ on its official ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) account, Arsenal’s goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has completed a permanent transfer to Southampton FC.
Reportedly, Ramsdale has penned a four-year deal with the Saints, who got promoted back to the Premier League for this season, through the EFL Championship play-offs.
The Englands-born goalkeeper has been severely linked with a potential transfer to Wolves as well in the last week or so. However, a deal between the Old Gold and Gunners failed to materialize for Ramsdale. Also, Wolves have signed Crystal Palace’s goalkeeper Sam Johnstone now.
Upon securing the transfer to Southampton, Aaron Ramsdale stated – “I’m looking forward to this year, just getting back to what I do best and having a big smile on my face. I’m absolutely delighted.” (Via – Premier League).
