In 2018: Brahim Diaz had to wait two years to make his Premier League debut. He played against Newcastle United and was crucial in a 3-1 victory for the Cityzens. He scored his first goal for the club in a 2-0 victory over Fulham and was named Player of the match in that game.

In 2019: Diaz left the Etihad Stadium in January 2019 to join Real Madrid on a £15.5 million. He made his La Liga debut for Los Blancos against Leganes.
