Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Aston Villa: Player Ratings as BVB players deliver standout performances

Borussia Dortmund emerged victorious in the final friendly game against Aston Villa. Both the sides went with their strongest side as the season would start in a week’s time. Under their new boss, Nuri Sahin, Dortmund were putting pressure on Aston Villa with their style of play.

At the 33rd minute Ezri Konsa fouled Karim Adeyemi in the penalty box and Emre Can did not make any mistake to give his team the lead. Just two minutes late Julian Brandt doubled his team’s lead after pouncing on a moment of uncertainty from Pau Torres. Unai Emery’s side tried to get back in the game but their forwards John McGinn and Jacob Ramsey could have done better.

The second half was on the slower terms as was interrupted by frequent substitutions from both the sides. Jacob Ramsey got a few chances but was wasted.

Emre Can: 7.8/10- Goalscorer, also controlled the game.

Pascal Gross: 7.3/10- Had a fair game.

Attackers

Karim Adeyemi: 7.0/10- Played the first half and won the penalty.

Julian Brandt: 7.6/10- Had a great game in attack.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens: 6.4/10- Did not have much of an impact.
