Borussia Dortmund Near Deal to Sign Brighton’s Pascal Gross
Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of finalizing a deal to sign Pascal Gross from Brighton & Hove Albion for an initial fee of around €7 million.
The 33-year-old midfielder will become Dortmund’s third signing of the summer transfer window adding depth to a midfield that struggled last season.
Gross who enjoyed a late-career resurgence at Brighton and earned a spot in Germany’s Euro 2024 squad is set to bolster Dortmund’s squad.
The transfer agreement includes an initial fee of €7 million plus performance-related add-ons. Gross has already agreed on personal terms with Dortmund and is scheduled to undergo medical soon.
Groß can play both as a central midfielder and in a defensive or attacking role acting as a versatile midfielder.
His arrival will provide competition for key positions including the defensive midfield spot and the number eight role. Coach Nuri Sahin will be keen to utilize Gross effectively in the upcoming season.
