Blackburn Rovers shortlist Fulham’s striker to fill Szmodics’ void
As per a recent report by ‘The 72‘, Premier League club Fulham’s striker Jay Stansfield is on the radar of EFL Championship club Blackburn Rovers. The Championship side recently sold their star striker Szmodics to Ipswich Town.
The report stated that Blackburn is actively on the lookout for a striker option and will try to get somebody in at that position before the window shuts. However, the club will likely face competition from Stoke City (also interested – via Football Insider) and Birmingham City to land Stansfield.
‘The 72’ has laid out that Fulham’s striker could be available for a fee of around £6 million (via – Journalist Nixon) despite his contract at the Cottagers running till June 2027.
It is quite understandable as Marco Silva is currently juggling between Rodrigo Muniz and Raul Jiminez as his striker options for the first team. Stansfield spent last season on loan at Birmingham City.
