5. Milos Kerkez – Bournemouth | 29 points | £4.4m

Milos Kerkez has emerged as a solid Fantasy Premier League defensive option and this is particularly important because of the attacking potential that he brings and his cheap £4.4m price tag. The Hungarian left back bombs up and down all game but points in Fantasy Premier League had avoided him this season until recently. Bournemouth are a decent side but recently they have been in superb form, beating both Arsenal and Manchester City in the last month. Both Bournemouth and Kerkez will be eager to continue their good showing this weekend, as the Cherries take on Brentford.

4. Ola Aina – Nottingham Forest | 47 points | £4.7m

Ola Aina is having a fantastic season along with his team Nottingham Forest, who sit as high as 3rd in the Premier League table. In terms of Fantasy Premier League, he ranks 3rd among defenders for total points scored so far. Forest crucially are watertight defensively. Only Liverpool have conceded fewer goals than them in the Premier League this season. Not only that but Aina also provides decent attacking returns. He scored last weekend on his way to a 15 point return. Forest can be expected to continue their performance against an underperforming Newcastle side this weekend, but it is true that their fixtures in the near future are difficult.

3. Pedro Porro – Tottenham Hotspur | 31 points | £5.5m

Pedro Porro is a very interesting defensive asset in Fantasy Premier League. Spurs are defensively questionable and there is no doubt about that especially given the injury to Micky Van de Ven. However at the same time, they are also the top scoring team in the Premier League. Pedro Porro so far might have only had the solitary goal and no assists but anyone who watches Tottenham play can tell how involved he is in their attacking. The attacking returns seem to be just round the corner. This weekend’s fixture against Ipswich Town feels like one that see some.

2. Diogo Dalot – Manchester United | 38 points | £5.1m

Manchester United are at a very interesting stage. Soon they will be under the management of Ruben Amorim and in this period, every player will be trying to catch the eye of the new manager. Diogo Dalot will be no different especially considering that his compatriot plays a 3 man defensive system with wingbacks assuming an important role. Dalot will do his best to lock that position down. United play Leicester this weekend and just last week, put 5 past them. Dalot picked up an assist in that game and will be looking for a repeat of that this weekend.

1. Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool | 46 points | £7.0m

Liverpool are flying pretty high right now and are on top of both Premier League and Champions League standings. Although this weekend’s match against Aston Villa is a difficult one, Unai Emery’s side can really struggle sometimes as shown by their 4-1 loss to Spurs last weekend. Liverpool could capitalise on that. They have the best defensive record in the league. For Trent Alexander-Arnold, that is a steady source of points. But what truly sets him apart is his attacking. While he somehow only has 1 assist this season, his xA of 2.92 suggests that there should be a few more. It looks like a hot streak could be coming soon.

As we turn our attention to Gameweek 11, the Premier League serves up another tantalizing set of fixtures. The highlight of the weekend is undoubtedly the London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal. Both teams are in desperate need of a win, and a high scoring affair is on the cards.
Liverpool will be looking to continue their great form when they host Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Manchester City face a tough test at Brighton’s Amex Stadium, and will be looking to break their 3 match losing streak in all competitions.
The deadline for Gameweek 11 is on November 9th.
