Ben Chilwell happy to collect £200k-a-week salary at Chelsea

Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell is content to stay at the club despite falling down the pecking order after he was told by manager Enzo Maresca that he’s not part of his plans in the ongoing campaign. The 27-year-old was widely linked with a potential swoop to Man United but no move materialised for the English defender on the deadline day.

Chilwell is contracted with Chelsea until the summer of 2027 and he’s very much willing to pocket his £200k-a-week salary for the remainder of the campaign. He is the second-most highest-paid player in the Chelsea roster after Reece James.

The left-back is content to stay at Stamford Bridge and doesn’t want to leave unless the right opportunity presents itself in the coming days.
