WATCH: Bayern Players tell fans what they need against Real Madrid
After drawing the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal tie against Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich will travel to Madrid to take on Los Blancos in the second leg of the tie and secure their passage to the final of the prestigious tournament. However, before traveling to Madrid, Bayern players told their fans what they need against Real Madrid in a video after their final training session before flying to the Spanish capital.
In the video which has been uploaded on X(formerly Twitter), Bayern players and Thomas Tuchel interacted with fans and told them what they need. Defender Joshua Kimmich pointed to his chest and said Bayern players need “Passion, Passion” while manager Thomas Tuchel told the fans the team needs “Everything” from the fans. The video also featured players like Eric Dier, Serge Gnabry and more.
The endearing video by the Bayern players was an effort to bring the fans together in what has been a rather abysmal season for the club and fans alike. Bayern failed to retain their Bundesliga title for the first time in over a decade, while they have also crashed out of other cup tournaments. The UCL remains the only thing which can stop Bayern from enduring a trophyless season.
All even as Bayern and Real Madrid head into the second leg:
The first leg of the UEFA Champions semifinal between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena ended in a 2-2 draw and both teams will be eager to win the second leg of the tie to secure passage to the final. While Harry Kane and Leroy Sane were on target for Bayern in the first leg, Vinicius Jr ensured that Real Madrid left the tie with all even on aggregate. Now, Real Madrid will look to host Bayern amidst an electric atmosphere as they come into the game on the back of securing the LaLiga trophy over the weekend.
