Bayer Leverkusen keen on Liverpool’s Sepp van den Berg
Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg has been linked with a move to Germany after six Bundesliga clubs have taken an interest in the 22-year-old Dutch defender. Clubs like Bayer Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, Wolfsburg, Mainz, and M’gladbach are said to be interested in the youngster’s services.
Sepp van den Berg, who spent the last season on loan at Mainz is valued at £20-25m by the Reds and they are determined to stick to that valuation. Liverpool will only entertain a permanent departure, but Arne Slot is reportedly impressed with the Dutchman and wants to keep him for the 2024/25 campaign.
But, if Leverkusen are willing to offer the defender regular minutes, Sepp van den Berg could make a switch to Xabi Alonso’s side this summer.
