Barcelona suffers transfer setback after Andreas Christensen injury

Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen has been heavily linked with a summer exit with clubs like Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur all interested in a reported cut-price €25m deal for the Danish international.

But the club have now been hit with a major injury setback as the former Chelsea defender has been ruled out of action for two months. The 28-year-old was absent from Barcelona training and there is no indication about the severity of his injury.

He will now join Ronald Araujo, Ansu Fati, Gavi and Frenkie de Jong in the treatment room which will be a huge concern for manager Hansi Flick.
