Barcelona not ruling out Pedri’s departure this summer window

21-year-old midfielder Pedri sustained a ligament injury in his left knee in Euro 2024 and will remain sidelined for more than a month. Barcelona are reportedly considering offloading the Spaniard to sanction the move for Dani Olmo this summer.

RB Leipzig are seeking €60million for 26-year-old attacking midfielder Olmo and have already rejected Barcelona’s bid of €40million. With Pedri’s back-to-back injury setbacks, Blaugrana are no longer ruling out anything regarding his future.

It was Pedri’s injury that earned Dani Olmo a place in the starting spot in Spain’s Euro 2024 campaign. Pedri is still considered a top young talent, given how high his ceiling is.
