Barcelona edges closer to sign Dani Olmo as Negotiations advance to critical stage
Barcelona are set to complete the signing of Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig, following a successful discussion between the two club officials today. Since the attacking midfielder already cleared his intention to reunite with the Boyhood club this summer.
Recently, Olmo enjoyed a stellar campaign in the European Championship 2024, guiding Spain to lift the continental triumph and has been playing a key role for the German side since he joined the club in January 2020 from Dinamo Zagreb.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Barca have agreed to sign Dani Olmo for a long-term six-year deal until 2030, with Deco playing an assertive role in persuading the involved parties to conclude the talks and settle the payment terms, financial add-ons, and the final transfer fee sum which is reported to be around 55 Million euros plus add-ons.
Barcelona’s head of sporting operations, Deco landed in Germany last night for this special meeting with Leipzig officials and Dani Olmo and his Andy Bara are all part of the round table discussion scheduled for today.
The former La Masia graduate ended the Euro 2024, as the joint top-scorer of the competition netting three goals in the tournaments in 6 matches, as a result, he was on the transfer radar of various top clubs across Europe such as Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Regardless of the competition, the Catalan side was among the frontrunners to secure the Spanish International, Olmo’s signature, despite multiple rejections, they made enthusiastic attempts to reach an agreement with the Bundesliga outfit.
