Atletico Madrid reach €95m transfer agreement for Julian Alvarez

The Spanish giants have agreed on a €95m (£82m) move for 24-year-old striker Julian Alvarez, who arrived at Manchester City two seasons ago. The Argentine striker does not want to play second fiddle to Erling Haaland and wants a move away from the Etihad this summer.

The 2022 World Cup winner has four years left on his contract and started 31 Premier League games last season. A total agreement between both clubs has been reached with talks of the payment structure now at the final stage.

Alvarez is yet to agree to personal terms with Atletico as Diego Simeone and Co. have offered more than Man City’s €75 million asking price for the Argentine international.
