Barcelona qualified for the final of the Spanish Super Cup after a convincing victory against Athletic Bilbao at the King Abdullah Sports City on Wednesday. La Masia graduates Pablo Gavi and Lamine Yamal guided the Blaugrana by making a difference. Gavi scored one and set up the other for Yamal to secure a 2-0 victory against the rivals.

Barcelona kept their pressure throughout the game but their Basque opponents managed to find their way through Barca’s defence but goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was on his toes to keep the opposition at bay. After this victory, Hansi Flick’s side will face either Real Madrid or Mallorca in the final, with the second semi-final game to be played on Thursday.
