Athletic Bilbao confident of retaining Nico Williams

While numerous media outlets have been heavily reporting that top clubs are linked with Spain superstar Nico Williams, while speaking on The Transfers Podcast, Guillem Balague has explained that there is confidence at Athletic club that they can keep hold of Williams for the 2024-25 season at the very least.

They feel that Williams is in no rush to leave the club, and still feels at home at Athletic Bilbao. Williams has a €58m release clause, and Athletic Club will demand for it to be paid in full before they part ways with the player. Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain could all likely pay that release clause.
