AS Roma vs Brighton Match Summary

AS Roma are ran riot at Stadio Olimpico, crushing their English guest Brighton with a scoreline of four goals to nil. It was a good result for Daniele De Rossi’s squad prior to the second leg at Amex Stadium.

Paulo Dybala opened the goal-scoring party in the first half after receiving a perfect pass from Leandro Paredes. The Argentinian then dribbled the ball around Brighton’s goalkeeper Jason Steele and tapped the ball into an empty net.

Before the first half ended, Roma doubled the lead. This time, Romelu Lukaku put the ball into the bottom corner of Steele’s net. The host goal-scoring party continued when Gianluca Mancini seized his opportunity on the scrimmage that happened in the Brighton box.

Stephan El Sharawy delivered the ball to Mancini who pushed the ball into the net with his toe. Il Faraone had his second assist of the game after providing the ball for Bryan Cristante’s goal.

Roma’s hope of going one step more from last season is now slowly gaining pace. The four-goal lead is an advantage, allowing them to rotate the team to avoid fatigue among the players.
