Arsenal made to wait for confirmation on Kiwior transfer by Serie A giants
With the North London club closing in on the signing of Italian defender Calafiori from Bologna, Arsenal have been looking for a buyer for the outcast Jakub Kiwior.
It was reported that current Serie A winners Inter Milan were in search of a left-footed defender and were eyeing a move for the Gunners left-back.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update this morning, clarifying that reports suggesting Inter have made a move are premature and the Serie A side has not yet made any official approach.
Arsenal initially proposed including Kiwior in the Calafiori deal with Bologna but Kiwior was hesitant, hoping for a transfer to a more prominent club.
With Calafiori expected to join the squad, Kiwior has been considered surplus to requirements despite his strong performances at the end of last season.
Bologna also appears to be interested in Kiwior, but like Inter, they have not yet made a formal offer.
