Arsenal lead the race to sign Mikel Merino ahead of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona

Arsenal have come up in a strong position to acquire in-demand Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino this summer. The star midfielder is also being heavily scouted by Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Merino’s current contract expires in the summer of 2025 and Estadio Deportivo claims that Sociedad is willing to sell him for £25 million if he does not renew.

The Spanish international has been a key player for Sociedad in his six-year spell at the club, and has been garnering interest from top clubs for the last 12 months, however, it looks like the Emirates Stadium is going to be his next destination!
