Arsenal consider last-minute swoop for Chelsea outcast
The Gunners are exploring a cut-price deal for Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling in the last few hours of the summer transfer window. Arsenal are interested in bolstering their attacking options and could make a move for Sterling if Chelsea bears a portion of massive wages.
Sterling has been told by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca that he would not get any minutes this season and leave the club if he seeks more first-team opportunities. Mikel Arteta has a great relationship with the Englishman after the duo worked together at Man City.
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to pay only £150,000 a week which is less than half of Sterling’s current £325,000 a week at Chelsea.
