Arsenal begin talks with Merino

Arsenal have begun talks to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino. It is being reported that the Spanish midfielder is open to the move to the Premier League, unlike teammate Martin Zubimendi, who is said to have turned down a move to Liverpool last week.

This won’t be Merino’s first stint in England though, having turned out for Newcastle for one season in 2017/18. The Guuners have made an approach but the deal still has some way to go.
