Argentina beat Colombia 1-0 in the 2024 Copa America finals to retain their crown. Lautaro Martinez was the difference-maker for the holders as the Inter Milan striker popped up with the elusive strike in the 112th minute after Lionel Messi went off with an injury in the second half. Colombia came into the match unbeaten in their last 28 games, and mustered 19 shots in the game, of which four were on target too, but couldn’t find a way past the imperious Emiliano Martinez.
