Will Antonio Rudiger Play Against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League?
Antonio Rudiger is now available to play against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after avoiding a ban. UEFA had conducted an investigation into Rudiger’s celebration and behaviour during the penalty shootouts in the Round of 16 clash against Atletico Madrid.
Initially UEFA was contemplating to suspend the German international however it has been revealed that Antonio Rudiger will receive a fine of £33,980 and a one match ban for a probation period of one year. This is great news for Real Madrid since they do not have to enforce the one match suspension immediately. Antonio Rudiger has been fined for allegedly making a throat – slitting gesture in front of the Atletico Madrid fans.
Similarly further good news for Real Madrid is that Kylian Mbappe and Dani Ceballos have been given the same terms as well. No disciplinary action has been opened against Vinicius Jr. Real Madrid are set to face Arsenal on Tuesday in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League and will be relieved because of the presence of Rudiger.
