Anthony Gordon Donates £10,000 to Southport Stabbing Victims
Anthony Gordon, the 23-year-old England and Newcastle forward, has generously donated £10,000 to support the victims of the mass stabbing that occurred in Southport on Monday.
This substantial contribution has been made to a GoFundMe campaign launched by the dance community in response to the horrific event. The horror attack, which took place at a Taylor Swift-themed event, tragically resulted in the deaths of three young girls. The victims were identified as Alice Dasilva Aguiar, aged nine; Bebe King, aged six; and Elsie Dot Stancombe, aged seven. Additionally, eight children and two adults sustained injuries.
The donation by Gordon is the largest single contribution received by the Southport Dance Group Emergency Fund, which has raised nearly £50,000 as of Wednesday evening. The payment was confirmed by GoFundMe to the Liverpool ECHO.
Meanwhile, Merseyside Police have arrested a 17-year-old male from Banks in Lancashire on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. The authorities have stated that the motive behind the attack remains unclear, but they have confirmed that it is not being treated as a terror-related incident.

Vigil Held for Young Victims of Southport Stabbing
On the other hand, on Tuesday, a solemn vigil took place to honour the three young girls who were tragically killed in the Southport stabbing. The girls had been at a Taylor Swift-themed yoga and dance holiday club when the horrific attack unfolded.
Amidst the chaos caused by the stabbings, the witnesses have described the scene at the fully booked club as resembling a horror movie. Moreover, hundreds of people gathered outside The Atkinson Art Gallery in Merseyside to express their solidarity and pay their respects. Attendees observed a minute of silence to remember the three young victims. Some participants lit candles, while others laid flowers and took a moment to reflect on the tragic events of the previous day.
