Allan Saint-Maximin to Fenerbahçe: Mourinho’s Priority Target
Al-Ahli’s star winger Allan Saint-Maximin is on the verge of joining Fenerbahçe as coach José Mourinho has made him a priority target.
The Saudi club is looking to upgrade their roster and Saint-Maximin seems poised for a move to Turkey. Negotiations are ongoing and both clubs are close to reaching an agreement (Reports via Yagiz Sabuncuoglu and Fabrizio Romano).
Saint-Maximin (who earns an annual salary of 10.5 million euros at Al-Ahli) has agreed to a pay cut to facilitate the transfer. Fenerbahçe have offered 4.5 million euros in wages and Saint-Maximin will reduce his salary to 7 million euros.
Al-Ahli will cover the remaining 2.5 million euros paying a total of 5 million euros over the next two years.
Fenerbahçe are set to pay 15 million euros as the transfer fee. Al-Ahli will use this money to cover the 5 million euros difference in Saint-Maximin’s wages receiving 10 million euros net from the deal.
