Albania’s Nedim Bajrami scores the fastest goal ever in Euro 2024
Bajrami just needed 22 seconds to score against Italy, breaking the previous record of 65 seconds held by Russia’s Dmitri Kirichenko in 2004.
Nedim Bajrami gave a quick start to Albania after just a quarter of a minute in their opening Euro 2024 clash against Italy last night for adding his name to the record books.
Bajrami wasted no time in breaking the previous record for the quickest goal of 67 seconds by Dmitri Kirichenko of Russia against Greece in 2004.
However, Italy’s response was quicker than expected with goals from Bastoni in the 11th minute and Nicolo Barella in the 16th to put the game beyond doubt, grabbing all three points.
Bajrami, who also plays for Italian side Sassuolo, reacted the quickest to a poor throw-in by Italy’s Federico Dimarco to smash the ball high into the net just a few metres away from the opposition goalkeeper.
