Al Hilal inching closer to signing Joao Cancelo from Manchester City

Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal are reportedly getting closer to signing 27-year-old defender Joao Cancelo in a deal worth around €38million. The Portuguese defender who fell out of favour with Pep Guardiola during the 2022/23 campaign is contracted with Man City until the summer of 2027.

Joao Cancelo is expected to undergo medicals on Friday ahead of his probable move to Al Hilal where he is expected to net €22m-a-year. Manchester City have reportedly agreed to Al Hilal’s offer for the Portuguese international who is not expected to receive many minutes in England this season.
