Australia will be through to the Semi-Finals if the match gets abandoned due to rain as their total points will be 4 which can’t be achieved by any other team except South Africa. Rain will guarantee the ticket to the semi-finals for Australia.

Scenario 2: South Africa Qualifies

If the match between Afghanistan gets abandoned due to rain in that case either South Africa has to win the last league match against England by any margin so they will qualify for the Semi-finals with 4 points as after the rain the total points of Afghanistan will be only 3 or even if they lose the match against England they just have to make sure that the margin of the defeat is not big as they have 3 points and their Run-rate is positive.

Scenario 3: Afghanistan Qualifies

In the case of rain abandoning the match between Afghanistan and Australia, Afghanistan will still be in the race for the semi-finals. They will be hoping that England register their first win in this year’s ICC Champions Trophy by defeating South Africa in the last league match of their group.
