Free Agent Adrien Rabiot on AC Milan’s Rader for Transfer Day deadline deal
The former Paris Saint Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has emerged as a preferred choice for Serie A giants AC Milan, as they have shown significant interest in signing the Frenchman, who is currently a free agent – without a club. As per multiple reports, Milan will be holding talks with Rabiot’s agent and mother Veronique Rabiot to reach an agreement.
The Rossoneri are planning to bring the former Juventus midfielder as a potential replacement for Ismael Bennacer who is also edging closer to an exit from San Siro on final transfer day. Earlier in the summer, Rabiot parted ways with Juventus after his contract expired with the Italian club and hasn’t signed anywhere else since June 30.
During his time in Turin, at Juventus, the central midfielder had made 212 appearances and racked up 37 goal contributions for the Old Lady across all competitions, after joining them from PSG in 2019, he also won the Serie A league title with Juve in the 2019-20 campaign.
Milan and the 29-year-old have had talks earlier for a move but the negotiation ended in the void after both the parties failed to reach an agreement. Notably, their negotiation can go beyond the transfer day deadline as French International is a free agent. This means he will be eligible to join the Serie A outfit or any other team beyond the 30th August timeline.
He brings physicality, versatility and a dynamic nature to the midfield what Milan is seeking right now to bolster their squad and French International seems to be a perfect fit for the job, though the deal remains subject to discussions between the club and his representatives. Over the summer, Adrien Rabiot had been in contact with several top clubs Premier League clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United but has remained undecided to date.
