Inter Milan 1-0 Arsenal: Player Ratings as the hosts extend unbeaten run with well-managed win at the San Siro

Inter Milan hosted Arsenal at the San Siro in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, November 6 and secured a narrow 1-0 win.

The first half was a cagey affair as the two teams shared the ball for nearly equal amounts of time. Denzel Dumfries came up with the first big chance of the game as his shot rattled the crossbar as Arsenal were spared their blushes early on. The Gunners in turn attempted seven shots, with two on target, but conceded a penalty late in the first period.

Mikel Merino was deemed to have handled the ball and Hakan Calhanoglu stepped up and scored for Inter Milan to make it 1-0 at the break.

Arsenal came out for the second half looking for a way back into the game and kept the ball for 71% of the time. However, with just two shots on target from 14 attempts they simply did not do enough to trouble Yann Sommer as the Italian side won the game.

On that note, let’s take a look at the player ratings.
