Crystal Palace targets Wolfsburg’s defender to fill Joachim Anderson’s void: Report

A recent report by ‘The Guardian‘ has highlighted that Premier League club Crystal Palace has placed a bid around the mark of £14 million (including any potential add-ons) to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in order to sign defender Maxence Lacroix.

Palace recently sold their star center-back Joachim Anderson to Fulham for a fee nearing £30 million. With the transfer window nearing its closure, it looks like the Eagles hierarchy is keen on adding to their defensive options after Anderson’s exit.

The notable point here is that Lacroix has earlier played under Crystal Palace’s current manager Oliver Glasner at Wolfsburg, so, adapting to his style of play in the Premier League, might not turn out to be that much of a hurdle for the defender.

Maxence Lacroix is into the last year of his current contract at Wolfsburg.
