Chelsea defender Bashir Humphreys set for Burnley medical

Burnley have appeared to win the race for Chelsea defender Bashir Humphreys on loan with an obligation to buy next summer. The young English defender will undergo a medical and have already agreed on personal terms with the Lancashire club.

Leeds United were also interested in the 20-year-old defender but the Clarets have won the race for the youngster’s signature. He returned to Chelsea after a successful loan spell with Swansea City.

Chelsea has revealed that the youngster does not have a long-term future with them and will be allowed to leave this summer.
