Arsenal nearing a move for Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia

The Gunners are keen to sign Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia amid uncertainty over Aaron Ramsdale’s future at the club. Arsenal would need to sign a backup goalkeeper if the England international secures an exit in the summer.

Joan Garcia, who has been identified as the perfect candidate to replace Ramsdale, holds a €25m release clause that could be triggered by the North London giants. The 23-year-old Spaniard witnessed an impressive season with Espanyol after helping the club earn promotion to La Liga, keeping 12 clean sheets, and conceding 10 goals in 18 appearances for the Catalan side.

The Spain U-21 international could be an excellent acquisition for Arsenal if they manage to lure him to the Emirates this summer.
