Tottenham keen on Dominic Solanke as Richarlison’s fate at the club hangs up in the air: Reports
As per ‘CaughtOffside’ and backed by ‘The Independent’, and ‘Mail Sport’, Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur is keen on signing rival London club Bournemouth’s striker Dominic Solanke in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Reports in the English media had it that, Solanke has a release clause of around £65 million in his current contract at the Cherries. However, Spurs’ interest in the United Kingdom-born player is so severe that they won’t be hesitant in breaking the bank for Dominic Solanke and signing him by registering a transfer record in the club’s history.
However, if Ange Postecoglou’s side does manage to land Solanke in this window, the future of Richarlison at Spurs could come under serious scrutiny. The former Everton forward joined Tottenham a couple of years back. However, his time until now at the North London club has been filled with ups and downs as the Brazilian hasn’t been able to churn up consistency in front of the goal.
It could be panned out that injuries have also taken toil on his playing time in the last couple of seasons.
Despite ‘Football Insider’, laying out that Richarlison is ‘happy’ at Spurs as of now, there is a common feeling among the club’s fan base that if Spurs sign an out and out striker in this window, Richarlison could be on his way out before the transfer window shuts.
