Arsenal still in pursuit of Newcastle United’s striker: Report

Premier League club Arsenal has been severely linked with a potential transfer move for Newcastle United’s striker Alexander Isak in the ongoing summer transfer window. The Gunners have been striving to sign a striker lately and Isak is believed to be someone who they have marked high on their priority list.

According to ‘The Independent’, Arsenal’s hierarchy still ‘dreams of attracting’ Isak to North London as the striker is considered a perfect foil for Mikel Arteta’s style of football. Alexander Isak netted 21 goals and registered two assists in his 30 appearances in the last Premier League season with Newcastle United.

His current contract with the Toons runs till June 2028. It remains to be seen how Arsenal progresses on this one in the coming days.
