Atletico Madrid agrees deal to sign Conor Gallagher alternative

Atletico Madrid has agreed to sign Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra in case Conor Gallagher refuses to move to the Spanish capital this summer. The La Liga outfit are still waiting for an answer from the England international despite agreeing to pay €40m to Chelsea for the 24-year-old midfielder.

Javi Guerra is an alternative to the Chelsea midfielder and Atletico has agreed terms to since from Valencia according to Fabrizio Romano. Atletico have agreed to pay a total package of €30m with Valencia including a 5/10% sell-on clause.

Both Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are waiting for a final answer from the 24-year-old midfielder who has also attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
