Igor Thiago will have to wait for his Brentford debut due to a post-surgery recovery
Brentford’s newly-signed forward Igor Thiago has to postpone his Premier League action with the club following an injury. The Bees announced that the player will be sidelined until at least late 2024 for a post-surgery recovery due to his meniscus injury.
Brentford are looking for a reinforcement at the frontline after surviving relegation from the Premier League last season. This surely a huge blow for Brentford as the club had already spent around €33 million to land the Brazilian to Gtech Community Stadium.
Thiago showed impressive stats with Belgian side Club Brugge, scoring 29 goals from 55 games. Such numbers are what lured Brentford to put their money on the 23-year old but the reality is not as what the club expected.
