Manchester United overcame Rangers 2-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday at the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburg, Scotland. Amad Diallo struck in the 39th minute before Joseph Hugill doubled their advantage midway through the second half. Having lost to Rosenborg in their first pre-season game earlier in the week, the Red Devils recovered to pick up a win and will take on Premier League rivals Arsenal in their next game on Saturday. Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7/10: Good runs coupled with timely interventions made for a sound defensive performance

Leny Yoro – 7.5/10: Demonstrated his abilities with an important challenge on Cyriel Dessers early on and then registered a block too

Jonny Evans – 5/10: Lacked positional awareness and nearly conceded a goal too

Sam Murray – 6.5/10: Marked his opponents well but also ventured forward to join up attacks

Midfielders

Casemiro – 5/10: A rusty performance from the embattled Brazilian, who looked shaky in possession and struggled to break down Rangers

Toby Collyer – 7.5/10: Timed his tackles to perfection and distributed the ball nicely to keep the match going

Amad Diallo – 8/10: A thorn in Rangers’ flesh with his attacking runs and struck a goal for United too

Mason Mount – 7/10: Linked up nicely with his teammates to unlock the Rangers defense and even drifted out wide whenever needed
