Olympique Lyon have completed the signing of Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez from Southampton on a three-year deal, reported transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X. The 16-year-old teenager left the Saints on a free transfer after spending a year with the youth teams, and will now look forward to kick-starting his senior career with Les Gones. He reportedly had offers from England and Italy too, but Lyon reached a verbal agreement first, and a deal has now been signed. Romano broke the news by also sharing a photo of the striker with Lyon’s chief as Rodriguez put the pen to paper.
